Theta Xi Fraternity is constantly looking to play a part in supporting a good cause that makes a difference to society. Each brother connects to this particular cause in a different way. Our friends and loved ones have all been affected by the cancer in one way or another and each step we take at the annual Relay for Life is another step toward the cure and keeping families together.

During Relay for Life we walk the track the entire night to support the American Cancer Society. We also make efforts to promote additional fundraising by opening our own fundraising tents at the event. Overall, we raised and contributed over $1,200 last year to the American Cancer Society this past year and hope to contribute more as the years pass.

The number of people living with multiple sclerosis increases every hour of every day. This astonishing rate is not going to slow down, let alone stop, until we've found a cure. Research has made some incredible advances recently, but the world can still only offer disease management drugs and therapies to the 400,000 people living with MS in America.

We've formed a team for the MS Walk because the National Multiple Sclerosis Society funds more MS research than any other private organization. In addition to supporting studies which hope to reveal the cause and course of the disease, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society also provides much needed education, programs, and services to everyone who is affected by MS - including the diagnosed, their friends and families, and the healthcare professionals who work with them.

Comfort Zone Camp is a nonprofit 501(c)3 bereavement camp that transforms the lives of children who have experienced the death of a parent, sibling, or primary caregiver. The free camps include confidence building programs and age-based support groups that break the emotional isolation grief often brings. Comfort Zone Camps are offered to children 7-17, and are held year-round across the Country.

Comfort Zone provides grieving children with a voice, a place and a community in which to heal, grow and lead more fulfilling lives.

The brothers of Theta Xi Fraternity gave 550 hours of community service hours to Comfort Zone Camp in which they all buddied up with children who have lost either one or both parents. Nothing feels as great as making a difference in child's life.
